About
Founded by the legendary Scrooge McDuck of Duckburg, this charitable foundation aims to support disadvantaged ducks and other citizens of Calisota. Despite his reputation for thriftiness, Mr. McDuck established this fund to provide grants for youth education, Junior Woodchuck programs, treasure-hunting scholarships, and community rebuilding after the frequent villain attacks that plague Duckburg. Our motto: "Work smarter, not harder — and give back to your community!"
Funding Opportunities
Scrooge McDuck Foundation for Young Inventors
Established by Scrooge McDuck in a rare moment of generosity (and after significant persuasion from Huey, Dewey, and Louie), this grant supports aspiring inventors in Duckburg who demonstrate exceptional creativity and resourcefulness — preferably on a shoestring budget. Applicants must submit a working prototype built from household items and prove that their invention can save at least three times its development cost. Gyro Gearloose serves as head of the evaluation committee, and Little Helper assists with paperwork.
2026 Duckburg Villain Rehabilitation & Neighborhood Safety Fund
The Scrooge McDuck Foundation invites applications for the 2026 Duckburg Villain Rehabilitation & Neighborhood Safety Fund. This cycle supports programs aimed at reducing crime in the greater Duckburg area, with a focus on rehabilitation for reformed Beagle Boys members, anti-burglary infrastructure for the Money Bin district, community watch programs in Killmotor Hill, and youth diversion initiatives. Eligible applicants include Duckburg nonprofits, neighborhood associations, and social services providers in Calisota.
2026 Duckburg Junior Woodchuck Community Grant
The Scrooge McDuck Foundation is proud to announce the 2026 Duckburg Junior Woodchuck Community Grant, open to all registered nonprofits, community groups, and Junior Woodchuck troops across the greater Duckburg and Calisota region. This cycle focuses on funding projects that promote youth outdoor education, civic engagement, environmental conservation along the Tulebug River, and neighborhood safety initiatives — especially in areas frequently affected by the Beagle Boys and other local villains. Eligible applicants include schools, youth organizations, neighborhood watch groups, and Duckburg-area charities. Priority will be given to proposals that involve young citizens aged 8–18 and demonstrate measurable community impact.
